Trenworks (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website mygrabbar.ca and provides grab bar installation and bathroom safety services across Ontario. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, and the choices you have about that information.
If anything in this policy is unclear, please call us at (905) 436-5965 or email info@trenworks.com and we’ll be happy to walk you through it.
Who we are
Trenworks is a Canadian company providing grab bar sales and installations, bathtub cutout conversions, and related bathroom accessibility services. Our installations are performed across the Greater Toronto Area, Durham Region, and surrounding Ontario communities.
What information we collect
We collect only the information we need to provide a quote, schedule an installation, and follow up with you. This includes:
- Contact information — name, phone number, email address, and the city or postal code where the service is needed
- Project information — the type of service you’re interested in, any photos you choose to send us of your bathroom, and notes about the work
- Communication records — the content of calls, text messages, and emails between us, including transcripts of phone calls handled by our automated answering system
- Website usage — basic information like which pages you visit, how you arrived at our site, and the type of device you’re using, collected through standard website analytics tools
We do not collect payment card details on our website. Payment for installations is handled in person on the day of service.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide a price quote
- Schedule and complete the installation
- Send confirmations, reminders, and follow-up messages about your service
- Send occasional service updates or seasonal safety information, only if you’ve indicated you want to hear from us
- Improve our service and our website
We will never sell your information to third parties.
How we share your information
We share information only when needed to provide the service:
- Installers and subcontractors — our installation team needs your name, address, and project details to do the work
- Service providers we rely on — including our website host (WordPress.com), customer-management system (LeadIntel), phone-and-SMS provider (Quo/OpenPhone), automated answering provider (Synthflow), payment processor (when applicable), and similar operational vendors. Each of these companies is bound by their own privacy obligations.
- Advertising platforms — if you reached us through a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or Google ad, those platforms may receive limited information about your interaction with our ads to measure ad performance. This is standard online-advertising practice.
- When required by law — we may share information if compelled by a court order, government request, or to protect the safety of any person.
Lead forms on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads
If you submit a lead form through one of our ads on Facebook, Instagram, or Google, those platforms send us the information you entered (typically name, phone, email, city, and what service interests you). The platform’s own privacy policy governs how they collect and store that information; ours governs how we use it once it reaches us. We use it for the same purposes as any other inquiry — to contact you with a quote and to schedule installation if you proceed.
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, ad measurement, and basic site functionality. You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer. Doing so may make some parts of the site work less smoothly.
Communication consent (Canada)
By providing your phone number or email and asking us for a quote, you are giving us your consent under Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) to contact you about your inquiry and the resulting service. We will only send you commercial messages (newsletters, promotional offers) if you have specifically opted in.
You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any text message, clicking unsubscribe in any email, or calling us at (905) 436-5965.
Data retention
We keep your customer record for as long as you remain an active or recent customer, plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting, warranty, and customer-service purposes (typically up to seven years for tax-related records, as required by Canadian law). After that, we delete or anonymize the information.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask us what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that’s wrong
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to the legal retention rules above)
- Withdraw your consent to be contacted, at any time
To exercise any of these rights, call us at (905) 436-5965 or email info@trenworks.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be reflected on this page. We recommend checking back occasionally if you want to stay current.
